2.9B (Windows)
Taken from Mac version. All classes have the same C sources.

2.9C (Windows) March 23, 1994
Mouse tracking error caused double clicks from kernel.
Heap size increased to 6 meg.

2.9C(Windows) March 31, 1994
The .seek, .size, and .pos functions in the file classes contained an
error that caused results to be unpredictable.

2.9F (Windows) July 14, 1994
	Updated to match the Mac.

2.9G (Windows) July 20, 1994
	Updated to match Mac

2.9HW (Windows bugs) September 13, 1994
Filled rectangles no longer leave outlines on their
backgrounds when set to match the background.
Arrays indexed with negative subscripts now report
	the error correctly.
There are fewer "MSWExtras.alt" in Views now.

2.9HW2 (Windows bugs) October 10, 1994
An old bug that messed up fast scrolling in the listerner
	window is fixed.
The cursor blinking rate in the listern window is now controled
by real time. (Currently one second)

2.9HW3 (Windows bug fix) October 20, 1994
The visual C++ compiler generates incorrect code when using
inline floating instructions for the "cvtFtoS" (Convert float
to string) function in the kernel. The symptoms cause the
value "0.01" to be written as 0.001 (No other values are
known to fail.) The repair is to compile for 8087 calls,
	rather than inline 8087 instructions.

2.9HW4 (Windows feature) November 1, 1994
The arrow keys are now supported.

2.9HW5 (Windows bug fixed) December 14, 1994
Window.drawLines: The count parameter was off-by-one.

2.9HW6 (Windows bug fixed) January 11, 1995
Array index of zero crashed due to heap changes.

2.9MW7 (WindowsNT and Mac) March 29, 1995
	Problems with metaclasses fixed:
Metaclass methods compiled using the AS construct could see
	invalid instance variables.
The Object.as method was accidentally removed in a previous version.
Object.basicGet and .basicPut did not correctly display a traceback
	after an index bounds error.
All Mac version changes from version G to M are included in this
	release.

2.9NW8	(WindowsNT and Mac) April 3, 1995
	TrueType fonts added to PC
Window.setPenSize is now implemented on the PC.
Window.shiftOrigin and Window.expandClip have been added to the kernel.

2.9NW9 (WindowsNT only) September 21, 1995
Changed the type name 'boolean' to 'logical' throughout the source
code to fix conflict with Windows header files. This change will be
propagated to the other platforms as well.
The new C compiler MSVC 2.2 was used to build this version.

2.9NW11 (WindowsNT only) October 12, 1995
The memory allocation for the heap is currently coded into the source.
It was set to 16 Megs, which is too much for most applications. It has
been restored to the standard 4 Megs for now. A subsequent version will
use a Windows INI file to make the heap size a user-configurable setting.

2.9NW12	(WindowsNT only) October 18, 1995
A problem in Mailbox.open was fixed that incorrectly tested for previous
	module opening.

2.9NW13	(WindowsNT only) October 30, 1995
Window.resize was making the window too high. (Already fixed in Windows 3.1 and Mac)
SerialFile default baud rate was incorrectly specified in the internal init string.

2.9NW14	(WindowsNT only) December 19, 1995
Window.drawLines was damaged in version W11.

2.9SW14	January 2, 1996
See aaChanges.txt for basic "S" revision.

2.9TW15 January 30, 1996
Mailbox repaired due to an accident in previous revision.
Listener.draw will move the window to the top if it is
	behind other windows.

2.9TW16 March 11, 1996
Stack limit checking added to virtual machine.

2.9TW17 March 25, 1996
Mailbox close logic corrected for proper heap restore.

2.9VW18 May 23, 1996
	(See also aaChanges.txt)
Bug: Updates to ValueDisplays were held backup until the
mouse or keyboard generated an event. (Weird...)
This was due to the way newer versions of Windows NT handled free
running applications. For this and other reasons, Alltalk no longer
free runs, but rather uses W_TIMER event to generate the internal events.
This should may Alltalk seem better behaved to other applications,
especially under Windows 95 or Windows 3.1. In any case, the display
	update events now work correctly.

2.9WW19 May 31, 1996
When a heap with an incorrect version number was loaded, the application
exited with a system error. This has been fixed.

2.9YW19 December 5, 1996
Changes to kernel are documented in aaChanges.txt.
	No revisions to windows interface.

2.9ZW19 January 7, 1997
Changes to kernel are documented in aaChanges.txt.
	No revisions to windows interface.

2.9ZW20 January 12, 1997
An apparently old, but unnoticed bug: Double clicking on
an image file (.sav) did not work properly event though
	'drag & drop' did.

2.9Z2W21 January 17, 1997
Several old Mac features have been added to the Windows
version. You can now create a stand alone application.
Copy the alltalk.exe to some other file, for example,
demo.exe. While running the old application (you can't
modify the running application) include all the files
you need to define your application. In the listener
	window, type the lines:
		stdout.erase
		system.saveIn['demo.exe']
This will erase the Listener window (assuming you want
to do this) and save the current heap inside the demo.exe
file. When you run demo.exe, the heap will be restored.
You can edit the Icon and about resources inside the
the application with the Developer Studio resource
editor. To make your application display the about
dialog box, send the message "system.aboutAlltalk".

If your application has special document files, associate
them with your new application using Explorer. When
the user double clicks on the document, you application
should deal with the file by overriding the #openWith[name]
selector in class System. The name parameter is the name
	of the file double clicked.

The alltalk.txt file for specifying the
heap size has been eliminated. There is now a "HEAPSIZE"
resource in the alltalk.exe file. This resource contains
the 4 byte size. For reasons best appreciated by Microsoft,
the bytes are listed in reverse, so 4 megs (0x00400000) is
expressed 00 00 40 00. Use any resource editor to alter
	the desired heap size.

2.9Z5 W22 March 26, 1997
A bug introduced by the switch to native I/O made files
opened (for reading) non-writeable. This was inconsistant
with previous versions and is now fixed.

2.9Z6 W22 (See aaChanges.txt)

2.9Z6 W23
Startup files did not open correctly under NT 3.51.
This problem was introduced somehow in the last
year since NT4.0 has been available. This version
works correctly with NT 3.51 and NT 4.0.
Binary files created by Alltalk could not be
accessed by other applications while they were open.
	This has been fixed.

2.9Z6 W24
A bug introduced by switching to the native File I/O functions
caused the EOF flag to be set later than the old C runtime library
version. When reading a file past the EOF, fewer bytes will be
returned than requested when at the end of file. In the older
versions of Alltalk, the EOF flag was set right away when this
occured. In the native I/O for Windows, the EOF flag is set on
the next read, which will return zero bytes for the number read.
This may or may not cause problems for existing applications, but
the code has now been changed to work the old way: EOF is set when
the partial read occurs at the end of file.

2.9Z8 W24
	See aaChanges.txt

2.9Z8 W25
Make serial ports tolerate shared opens.
	Revise serial attribute settings:
	setShake[0] ! No flow control
	setShake[1]	! XOn/Xoff
	setShake[2]	! Hardware handshaking

2.9Z11 W26
Binary & String files would not open if the file
	attribute was set to read-only.

2.9Z15 W27
This is a major revision of the kernel classes.
	See aaChanges.txt for details.

2.9Z16 W27
A bug in Array inheritance was fixed.
	See aaChanges.txt for details.
