Not sure why Terry is talking about Nov 5 which is a Tuesday. He may
have meant Nov 4. That would give them approximately a week and one
half, depending how quickly we can finish section 6.3 (Large Table mode
with a rigid specimen) to mount the bridge specimen. I will call Terry
this morning to discuss current status and plans. It sounds like they
are planning on running sections 6.1 (three table tuning) and section
6.2 (individual table mode, varying masses) today. That should give us a
really good feeling for how well we are controlling the tables and if we
will have problems with the rest of the tests. So as they say, today is
when the rubber meets the road.

Hi Dick,

We had another good day today. We got AIC working and
finished the third table with 50 tons. In stead of
telling you what we have done so far, I will tell you
what is left to do. 6.2 6.3 nad 6.4. We will do 6.2
tomorrow. Pat thinks I should come back on Oct 21 to
do 6.3 and Nov 5 to do 6.4. I think this will work
for me.

Best regards,
Terry
