Rod,
I sent the message below yesterday from Fuku$B!G(Js computer but I did not
have my cc copy when I checked my e-mail this morning so I assume you
have not seen it either, and am resending it.

I definitely need your insight into the future of the 497 conditioners
and a replacement for the 497,if necessary, on data acquisition
projects. Of particular concern is NIED where the system won$B!G(Jt even be
built for a few more years. Sorting through the many possible options,
hardware and software, for a job long into the future is difficult (one
might even say frustrating)

                Hello Rod,

Tonight I go to a reception for Jesse $B!H(J The Body$B!I(J
Ventura, eat your heart out.

                Takenaka,
1. They want the units for 469DU in gal and mm.
2. Units for load cell, Kilonewtons, I think structural standard is
correct, + is tension.
3. The UPS is not in our scope. Turns out, they plan to run
without one?
4. Structural software.
                      IIs System software
                Basic Testware for IIs
                      Static Deflection software, option 793.33
                5. Your thoughts about modifying the structural valve
driver, I hate the idea of them changing cards.

                New Zealand

Ohtani personally requested you, Brad, Bami and myself
attend. Bill Beduhn told Rich Nowak that only he and I should go. I,
however, think it is important for all of us to go excepting a good
reason otherwise. Brad said he has a conflict and can$B!G(Jt go. I have
reservations for myself. I did not make any for you but if you$B!G(Jre
willing and able, you should go, the phamphlet is in my office, to the
left countertop just as you enter. I will be requesting to Yamaguchi
about Bami. I think attendance as requested by Ohtani is of critical
importance as we seldom get an informal chance to be with NIED thus we
are too much at the mercy of MHI.

                NIED Committee

I arrived here only to find out I have been uninvited to
the 5 November meeting. Only 1 rep from each firm, Sakuno from MHI,
Bami or Imafuku from MTS. Another servovalve committee like cluster
fuck. We$B!G(Jll start getting invited when they want papers, sadly by then
they will have started down some deadend road that will take a lot of
our time to turn around, just like before.

                497$B!G(Js

If the 497 is soon history, what will we do for future
STEX data acquisition projects? Also, if the 497 is history, I have a
problem for NIED data acquisition. It would seem Aero needs the 497, or
an equivalent. Your thoughts please.

                Regards
                Omar
