Rod,
Reference the load cell, they also will be using these actuators for
structural testing and we need to supply structural software, I think
it is called basic testware? I thought I had that name with me, I will
get the correct name tomorrow. That structural software allows for load
control which will need to use the load cell. For seismic, I am
strongly requesting Takenaka to take the load cell off, reasons:
compliance, also risk of damage to the load cell. If I can get them to
agree to remove, then for structural testing, I think we can connect the
load cell instead of the Delta P cell. I have been trying to get
agreement on this for some time but always had a MTS-J and Moritani
brick wall. Yesterday, they finally seemed to listen so I got them to
agree to my meeting with Takenaka Friday. If I can get agreement, then I
think we can connect the load cell to the delta P conditioner, saving us
some hassle, though we've already spent the money for the extra outboard
conditioner.
My memory is we do not supply the UPS but I will check the contract at
MTS-J tomorrow and e-mail you and Don.
Thanks
Omar
