Yutaka-san!

About the Takenaka error message:

The PID Watchdog Timer is a counter on the TestStar IIs Europa board. The
469DU software resets it every millisecond. If the counter does not get
reset in a certain time interval, an interlock is generated. This time
interval can be set in the "Clocks" panel under the Service menu; it's
called "Dsp watchdog reset". It should be set to 0.00384 seconds; make
sure it is this value. This is the maximum allowable by hardware. Note
that the 469DU software resets the timer 4 times faster than it has to.

Another thing the can cause a timeout is the host watchdog timer, which
monitors the communication between the PC and the TestStarIIs box. If no
communication occurs within a period set in the Clock panel under "Host
watchdog timeout", the host watchdog timer will trip the dsp watchdog
timer. Check to make sure this period is about 60 seconds. One way to
trip the host watchdog timer is to go to another application, like Word or
something, try to open a file, but don't select a file, just let the
file-find dialog stay visible. This prevents our application from getting
time from the operating system, which will cause a watchdog timeout after
60 seconds.

Ask Takenaka whether they were doing this when the watchdog occurred.

If not, then perhaps there is some weird hardware problem with the Europa
board.
