 Hello Rod-san,

Greetings from Singapore. I think it would be a great city to live in,
except for the heat and humidity.

1. Takenaka, your answer to Fuku is what I told Fuku and Takenaka
was the most likely (therefore he wrote to you directly to try get a
different answer). BUT, Please do try keep trying to have someone
modify the structural software for the 2 pilot valves as that is much
preferable to having them change cards.
2. Any word from your doctor on how the stint is doing? When do
you expect to hear about your travelling status?
3. New Zealand, any luck in making reservations? My conversation
with Brad when he said he could not go was some time ago, perhaps 2
months, Ohtani did request you, he and I be there. I heard it as a
command barring a good excuse.
4. Hong Kong, can you stop there on the way to New Zealand? I know
it is not really on the way but they asked if January was possible for
your visit.
5. Distributors meeting here in Singapore, Drs Yamaguchi and White
had both strongly suggested I should come, goal was to at least get past
the bad feelings Abul had created towards AESD. The distributors are an
Eclectic bunch. Most of them had an Abul horror story. For the future,
clearly our best shot with them is if we had some standard seismic
offerings, say the 3 by 3 meter table, and a 2 by 2 meter table? I was
just looking at an old costing I did for a small 2 meter by 2 meter
table for NTU here in Singapore (I meet with them today), 50% of the
cost is design. If we did 10 tables the same, our price could be
substantially lower. Problem is, how to get the first one. I also
think we should have a small 6 DOF table, patterned after Dave's project
in Romania, Basically a 2/3rds scale of NTT, which mounted with
pedestals for the horizontals onto a flat floor. With the new
controller architecture, I think standard offerings become more possible
as that controller cost becomes ever more stable and predictable.

Thanks
Omar
