! ProjectFiles.txt -- Description of project files and directories

We will use an example application based on the Kyoto table system.
The customer has a directory on the NT workstation that contains
only the files needed to execute the controller and user interface:

	KyotoCode Main project directory

		ARIEL1.X40	Code for DSP 1
		ARIEL2.X40	Code for DSP 2
KyotoCode.dll	Code for the supervisor that runs on the PC
Kyoto.sav	Code for the Alltalk GUI that runs on the PC

		Settings.cal	Application calibration file
		table.dat	Application table description file
message.log	A report file that records application events.

The two application files are for the Kyoto system only. Other
application may require other kinds of calibration and data files.

When installing updates to the customers code, additional files and
directories are required. These files are not normally left on the
customers machine because they contain proprietary source code.
When it is necessary to update the software at the customer's site,
a backup of the complete development project directory should be copied
to the customer's workstation. The complete development project directory
contains the following files and directories in addition to the application
components listed above:

Application specific source file directories:
AppCon Configuration for supervisor DLL and the DSP.
AppDsp Software modules for the DSPs.
AppSup Software modules for the supervisor DLL.

COOPS framework source file directories:
CoopsCom	COOPS modules used on supervisor and DSP.
CoopsDsp	COOPS modules for the DSP.
CoopsSup	COOPS modules for the supervisor DLL.

Other directories:
GUI Alltalk files for GUI and application.
HydraSupport	Support for the the Ariel Hydra DSP card.
NTDriver	Support for Radisys-to-Ariel NT device driver.
Documents	Contains this file and other support documents.

Binary Object modules:
LibSup Object modules for supervisor DLL.
LibDsp Object modules for DSP code image.
LibDebug	Object modules for KyotoCode application.

Other top level project files:
define.bat	Command file used in DOS window to set up the
Texas Instruments DSP cross compiler and linker.
KyotoCode.exe	An application that will download COOPS without
			running Alltalk. Used for debugging.
KyotoCode.mdp	The Microsoft Developer Studio workspace file for the
supervisor DLL. Double click this file to launch the
			development system.

The following files are required to support the Microsoft development
system but they have no useful function for most programmers:

	KyotoCode.ilk
	KyotoCode.mak
	KyotoCode.ncb
	KyotoCode.pdb
	KyotoDLL.bsc
	KyotoDLL.exp
	KyotoDLL.ilk
	KyotoDLL.lib
