Instructions for testing 469D-STEX III Before you try anything. Create a NEW group in STEX and create a simple timehistory test. Try to execute that new test from the new group. If that does not work, do following instructions. If that DID work, then the database for the group that had the error is corrupted and you have lost the data. erase that group and start with new one. Also, you can try to run the 469D in simulation mode. Rename Super.dll in bin directory to Superx.dll. Then, when you run 469D it comes up in simulation mode. Try to run that way because it does NOT open TCP/IP to the controller. If that runs, let me know. Start here if new group test failed as well: 1. Back up controller folders for 469D and STEX III COMPLETELY 1a. Use STEX to archive the data files that you have in the group(s) this will be needed if the system files got corrupted. 2. rename the 2 folders containing the controller 469D and STEX III 3. Copy the 469D and mts folders I just sent you to the controller drive c:\ 4. start the 469D 5. Select acceleration mode and remote application 6. start STEXIII 7. You will see a new prompt to select table configuration: select normal by clicking on right hand down arrow, then you can click on "Normal" Normal then sticks in the display and click select. STEX III should then start. 8. You will NOT have the database files from your previous runs. There will only be a timehistory test there. But you should be able to run it. It should be 1 m/sec^2 random test. 9. If this all works, then..... 10. restore the STEX group(s) from their archives. 11. Try to run any test in the restored group(s). If they work, then..... 12. try to use the original 469D and the New STEX. If that doesn't work, then we have to piecemeal replace the following 469D files in the original 469D: a. 469D.exe in root directory (c:\469D ?) b. coops.o in bin directory (c:\469D\bin ?) c. super.dll in bin directory (c:\469D\bin ?) If this doesn't work. send me what happened. 13. If the restored group(s) did NOT run, then the database got clobbered and you have lost that data. Just delete that group and start over. 14.
